Deny Me Three Times

(Words and music: Patrick Gadola)

I'm not always sure what I'm trying to say
What I'm doing or where I am today

So don't accuse me of a faith so strong
Or feeling like I belong because that's not where I am

If I had the guts and I had the strength I would answer all calls
And never fall to my own dark side

But don't leave me with no time, And then question my rhymes
Or accuse me of crimes, Or deny me three times

If God became man and lived on this earth
And we put him to death, yeah, that's something I could believe

So do the right thing, but what does that mean?
Talk to my friends to see what they think

Then someone tells me what to say and where to go
Still life is a mystery, when will it unfold?

Don't leave me with no time, And then question my rhymes
Or accuse me of crimes, Or deny me three times

This is just my call for peace, This is just my call for peace
This is just my call for peace, This is just my call for peace

I'm the savior of no one, just another messenger
Looking for new ways to say all the things you've heard before

All this fighting for so many years and so many tears
And endless debate

Be thankful you don't have to count on me to stand for you
To save your soul because I might have sailed away

But don't leave me with no time, And then question my rhymes
Or accuse me of crimes, Or deny me three times
