In my earliest memories
I don't remember saying much
And I’ve never been too big on
Destroying stuff

I like to save things
And hold on to memories
I like to look at things again
And consider what they mean

Records spin around — but must a record be round?

I remember when I was little
I loved my record player
But somehow it freaked me out
When I got a record that was square

I took that record and chewed it
Like I was a hyper dog
Sometime after that
I felt bad that it was gone

I guess I may never know
I hope now I’m more open-minded and I remember
Things might be different than I think
